Swearing

Well it's time to address the words associated with foul mouth swearing,

Without making any apology for the frequent use and free liberty I'm wearing;

It's time we put a stop to this and stamp it out right at the very heart,

For there are many better words in the English language and to use them would be smart.

God might of done something wrong but that is no reason to swear,

Because God’s always right in my eyes and you can’t accuse him at no care;

You see the very best you can do is use the right word at the right time and place,

And talk very meaningfully addressing the needs of the day that you face.

Now swearing is cheap talk and there’s no real need for it any place,

It's no use letting off steam in frustration swearing at God face to face;

Don’t blame someone else for your problems and don’t swear black and blue they are wrong,

But learn to have some self control and don’t swear that all of my own does belong.

For changes come and go all the time, just as there sent there to try us,

But there is no reason to blatantly swear but consider humble repentance;

Now the crime fits the punishment and the punishment fits the crime,

And by swearing I mean you are blaspheming God blast furnace in rhyme.

Now it's not worthy of capital punishment but swear on the Bible in court,

For if you are that way inclined to keep swearing you will always be caught;

Now it makes you feel good for a moment but walk away and it's a different thing,

So you won’t get away with it lightly for God sees every little sin you think.

It's not as bad as murder, rape or stealing but it has a real nasty sting,

Like the sword from my mouth in the pen comes out a real naughty thing;

And the tongue is a sharp two edged sword that can swear its head off all day,

But if you want to be happy in heaven don’t swear like hell what you say.

Signed,
