Living

Well life is for living or so say all the books,
Then what matters is if you're of the right looks;
Some say you're dead and how can you try,
When the life that you're living is really do or die.

There must be answers this question on life,
Whether it's living by yourself or in search of a wife;
And when you find her, that's when the fun starts,
Like a ball and chain when your car is in parts.

Living you see is for the free and the wild,
Not when you're married and settled with a child;
But what of the compliments from one to another,
Are they for sharing your heart till you love her.

Time for the living brings a little bit of strife,
And that's the problem with this thing called life;
Living is not really a death centred ploy;
But filled with all hope of peace and with joy.
