I Can Find Myself

I can find myself when I am reading and writing,

You cant forget yourself where you need to be the right thing;

I can find myself in a book or just sitting on the shelf,

I can find myself written in what ive read and write myself.

I cant read myself and I cant find myself in you,

Because I'm lonely and bored and not interested in you;

I can find myself in you if you can find yourself in me,

So that we can be together and find ourselves in us and thee.

I can find myself in pain and turn it into a pleasure,

I can find you in vain and suffer for the treasure;

I can find myself in church and learn what God has taught,

So I can understand myself and do things just as I ought.

I can find myself in you, and in you I will be found,

I can find yourself fascinating for myself seeing or sound;

If I can hear the message that you through God is allowed,

But I won’t understand very well, unless it is said aloud.

Well if I want this typed or if I could type it myself,

I would understand it all and you yourself the shelf;

And then again if myself was always yourself it would be wrong,

Only right if it was buring all the time and rhyme it long.

So what is it that in plenty of things I can find myself,

Of course it's books and looks all just sitting on the shelf;

As my face is only skin and paper seems to win the sin,

For love goes deeper when I can find myself so I hope you win.

Signed,
