Complaining

What good did it ever do to complain about anything,
When any problem can be solved with a little thought;
It's not as if it's the end of the world,
But some people complain as if nothing is able to be fixed.

All it takes is getting a few heads together,
Instead of complaining and suffering the blunt edge of someone else's thoughtless tongue;
So why do we have to put up with this senseless argument,
Can't all complainers be sentenced to the long suffering of their own piercing voices.

I really think that people must be stupid,
To not be able to cop a few knocks or suffer a few ailments;
Surely life is too short to go around complaining about things,
When a simple statement or cleverly worded question would put all things right.

However I am the eternal optimist of putting faith in people for no reason,
For I would surely rather do that than make a nuisance of myself complaining about everything;
Then what must we do to rid ourself of the awful negative thought
Maybe writing it down like this,
Is a big enough complaint by itself.
