Eternal Rain

Never a dry drop of rain on me,

But a persistent downpour of love from Thee;

Eternal rain, is there really such a thing?

A drink of this water; what life it will bring!

.

What is man that God thought of me?

Or if to a woman the water worth more than she;

Like a bucket with holes in it is sin in my heart,

You will need an umbrella when the rain does start.

.

Look around the world and it is always raining there,

The trouble is that our dams are never quite aware;

Eternal rain is another thing that is infinite by nature,

Like a fountain with a spout out of some statue.

.

Eternal rains designed in our weather pattern to know,

Whether the shelter is over us and in God do we grow;

Time is a manifestation of what will happen to be,

And that matters to you and it should matter to me.

.

From what kinds of clouds is eternal rain water,

The heavens open up as we suppose they ought to;

Our soul needs a drink and the plants need to grow,

Remembering Noah and the flood and God did sow.

.

Oceans and seas fill up these clouds for eternal rains,

Water running down mountains into rivers and drains;

It takes up the lives of people and what they own,

Living in a century where water is needed or known.

.
