A Photo

So they all say it's a photo we need today,
To remember the folks we once knew away;
It seems so tough to live in the past,
Knowing what's true and what now will last.

Now you don't know what it's like to love somebody,
As a photograph shows us just what life is to anybody;
They capture us real in the still on the moment,
Like a penny drops to earth and away all the woe went.

Well they're much loved and we treasure them forever,
If your blonde or fat and even smart or clever;
For a photograph is a time for sharing together,
And it all depends on where and what is the weather.

As if a picture is really worth a thousand words,
They will depict your heart and then away with the birds;
You just must be weary of what can be perfect I feel,
Because a photo is frozen for good and it's real.

So careful we are with what can be life,
As a photo you think will cause you some strife;
But not if your clever and die for a sec,
If you remember your faith and one single spec.

For God loved the world he gave his only son,
So all could be righteous and all could be one;
Now a photo of the family is a bit like that,
Or of a beautiful landscape that you take of your heart.
