Over a thousand years and generations gone,
In all the earthy and yet in all the world beyond;
There was a man who came from beside the sea,
A legend of the Nazarene the man from Gallilae.
And he lived and died and rose again to live up in the sky,
So all the poor and weary could rise to him on high;
Now he lives above all nations and leads them home to be,
Exalted to the heavens and be with him and live eternally.
And I know that he has beauty and love beyond and compare,
That he could be Gods brilliance to answer all the Christian prayer;
Now there's not a single soul which he did not fulfil,
To fill their hearts with purpose and have faith in him unwill.
So the reason he is living in another time and place,
Is to see that the human race is perfected by waiting and by grace;
Now the time has come to look and see him return from the skies,
Where now living in the presence from the universe he flies.
And I know that he has planned and will bring his reward with him,
The woman that I dream of an have prayed for unto him;
And that is the perfection he beat all crime and sin,
To give the truth and meaning for all e saved to win,
So now here is the living proof of external life beyond the grave,
That the partner and the company is a friend that he loved to save;
And those who heard his calling and lived with deepest faith,
Will see him in the marriage of the entire human race.
