Why is there so much conflict and pain,
Why are people dying and trying in vain;
Why do we go on killing and fighting,
Instead of loving and loving and following the right thing.
Where is the love and truth we all need,
To sit back and listen with something to read;
Mum are you up there can you hear what I say,
Do you understand me though you're so far away.
You thought us up to know to live, and to learn,
That we'd be rewarded in heaven where we wouldn't have to burn;
One day you look down on us with all that we're blessed,
The next day there is something new you want to addressed.
But I love you so much even though you're not here with now,
Even though you still see us and watch as only you know how;
I ask in the lords name to know how you are doing up there,
To know what is happening and look to see where you are.
Though I still love you, my life still must go on,
To wonder just where and when you have shone;
And I remember so clearly all the things that you did,
And the truth in your eyes and loving arms for this kid.
And now please dear mum, hear and answer my prayer,
And I'll leave you in heaven and with peace you have here;
That even though you'r e dead now you'll never leave me,
But watch this dear child of yours because you believed in me.
