A Warm Fire Evening

Hot chocolate and friends,
A warm log fire;
A warm cuddly feeding,
Date pudding in a family home.

The five burns down,
The night air cool;
Still fresh and brisk,
As a country rule.

Perhaps another log,
To keep the household warm;
The night sky dealing,
Out the stars fair share.

Maybe it's time,
To settle right down;
Maybe the world,
Holds a few more towns.

God only knows,
What right and true;
What’s perfect in life,
And what will come through.

There’s something to be said,
About a friendly chat;
When conversation meaningful,
And country life’s that.

Signed,

At the Zelnos
