A Piece Of Cake

Is life is as easy as a piece of cake?

No, well I have got news for you;

For when everything is as hard as hell,

It hurts enough to really make you well.

.

A piece of cake you dare to suggest,

Would be really nice for dessert;

With the sweet taste of freshness to tell,

All bake with flour to sell.

.

For morning or afternoon tea to try,

A cup of coffee goes nicely down;

But don't tempt fate and have it every day,

For the doctors got news as well.

.

And the baker bought and the baker sold,

Making all the nice things as well;

And the thing that you are lazy about,

Was why the piece of cake would sell.

.

So at the end of the day and the end of this poem,

It seems like a piece of cake would be nice at home;

So by yourself one from the cake shop,

And enjoy it to end this and stop.

.

Well it tasted rather beautiful,

But I'd better so for a walk;

And set myself another piece,

To lose the want of the talk.
