Things That Break

Things that break and go clunk in the night,

Are scary and slippery and give us all a hell of a fright;

Things that break are in a bad need and of ill repair,

They make noises and thumps and bump through thick air.

Things that break are in a state of their own and wrong,

They were made a quite properly and were meant to last long;

Like the fridge thawing out or that constant bad creek in the wall,

They mean something is happening and someone is suffering it all.

Things that break are a headache or a heartache if you care,

They change and alternate and carry from one things other fair;

Things that break like vases or toasters or plastic containers,

Are all made right by manufacturers to be replaced when not remainders.

Things the break and stop and bang like a glass or a cup,

Or plates or bowls or things we need and use every day up;

Then there is the car and the bud and boat, plane and truck,

They all must brake or stop when required or it's a hell of a bad luck.

Things that break and hurt like hell in the head or heart,

When people make things to last and others break them to be smart;

But it's really a stupid principle of philosophy that breaks beyond mend,

That really were better fixing things or helping people not to hurt their friends.

things that break like intermission or advertisements to go to,

When the television or radio need income from sponsors you know;

Things that break like the big rock called the earth itself,

Flowing volcanoes or earthquakes and tsunamis beats the bookshelf.
